Last year was the first year I shared YearCompass with the Lead Star community, and it’s been wonderful to hear how much value it brought. I knew I had to share it again.
YearCompass is a free booklet that helps you reflect on the year and plan the next one. With a set of carefully selected questions and exercises, YearCompass helps you uncover your own patterns and intentionally envision the year ahead.
You can download a free copy of YearCompass here.
It’s also a global movement. More than a million people have completed the booklet. It’s a powerful way to fully look back on your year, learn from your mistakes, celebrate your victories, and intentionally frame 2025.
One of the challenges of reflection is the recency effect. When we attempt to look back, we are clouded by what’s most present now. YearCompass provides the structure to look at 2024 in a more holistic manner.
Effective leaders are committed to self-reflection. The quiet of year-end and the freshness of a new year offer the opportunity to take stock, process, and apply learnings forward. One of the best gifts you can give yourself is time. Time to look at how far you’ve come and time to dream and design what you’d value moving toward.
I’d love to hear from you after you’ve had a chance to complete YearCompass. Just reply to this message to share your thoughts about the experience or the insights it revealed. We are all on this journey together, and I’m grateful for this community.
Wishing you a very happy New Year!
