You’ve seen the movie “The Legend of Bagger Vance,” right?
You’ve read his book, “The War of Art,” haven’t you?
Come on, you know whom I’m talking about– STEVEN PRESSFIELD!! And he’s going to be a guest on “Bet on You Radio” in December.
His recent book “Put You’re A** Where Your Heart Wants to Be” captures the exact same spirit we wrote about in “Bet on You.” His work forces us to confront areas in life where we’re experiencing resistance. He wants us to overpower these moments with a force so we can pursue the dreams our heart desires.
Steven and I share a belief that it’s our responsibility in life to answer our true calling. Steven has a great way of using gritty, direct language to motivate and inspire us, too.
I was recently raving about this opportunity with a friend of mine, and she wondered how I was able to snag this interview. I had a simple answer: I asked.
I asked. He said “yes.”
I’ve long been inspired by the Wayne Gretzky quote: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” So, whenever I sense an opportunity, I go for it. I make the ask. Sometimes I get rejected. Others? I score.
I’m hoping to encourage you to make the asks, too, in your life, big and small. The worst you can get is a “no.” It’s not personal. The best you can get? A great opportunity…one that you have full permission to be as giddy about as I am about mine.
