With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the U.S. Navy, and 5+ years as an executive at Hewlett-Packard, Doug brings a passion for developing leaders in both military and corporate settings.
Throughout his career — which includes a role overseeing more than 3,000 personnel — Doug has led highly capable, diverse and distributed teams. He has coached, mentored and developed leaders in every role, and designed systems to improve results and drive efficiencies.
This leadership and expertise earned him several awards from the Navy, including the Legion of Merit, three Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, and the Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper Award.
Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Montana; an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; and a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management from the Navy Postgraduate School, where he graduated at the top of his class.
Highly active in his community, Doug has served in leadership roles and on the boards of organizations including Habitat for Humanity and the Gifted Advisory Council. Doug has been a Church Lay Leader for 10 years and has led numerous mission trips to Nicaragua. He is married with two grown children.
